SWEET TOOTH SENSITIVITY

WHY DOES THE TOOTH SENSITIVE TO COLD?

The outer layer of the tooh is the enamel and the inner part is called the dentin. Provided that caries defect breaks down the enamel surface, and the defect is near to the pulp chamber, then the osmotic concentration of sugar will trigger pain through the dental tubules.

If the caries defect affects the dentin, then the tooth is sensitive to sweet, cold and hot. The stuck of residual nutrient between teeth can be experienced with bad breath. If the dental treatment is postponed, then the caries can get deeper to the pulp chamber, when unbearable toothache can happen. This is called pulpitis, the inflammation of the pulp. Unfortunately in these cases root canal treatment is necessary.

Please contact you local dentist in case of experiencing the listed symptoms in order to begin the minimal invasive tooth filling therapy.
