WISDOM WILL REMOVE
WHEN AND WHY SHOULD WISDOM BEET REMOVED?
Wisdom will be the last member of the denture. We can call it the third great grinder, or eight teeth. Wisdom will begin to develop at the age of 14 and is expected to begin its oral breakthrough from the age of 17.
If the size of the jawbone is smaller and there is not enough space for the wisdom tooth, then the wisdom will begin to shift the it will cause teeth in front of it and tertiary congestion. As a result of the congestion, the axial position of the teeth changes, as a result of which the tightness of the contact points between the teeth is broken, so micronutrients can easily be trapped between the teeth, which can lead to caries and periodontal disease.
If the wisdom tooth gets stuck as a result of the eruption, it can damage the second big wiper in front of it , which can also cause the loss of the tooth in the long run. The semi-broken wisdom will be difficult to clean, so a soft sachet can easily form around it, which can also cause an unpleasant mouth odor and straining pain.
For the reasons mentioned above, we recommend wisdom tooth removal after the age of 17.
The wisdom tooth is easiest to remove between the ages of 17 and 23 , because by this time the development of the root of the wisdom tooth is not yet complete and allows for easier removal.
WHEN DOESN'T YOU NEED TO REMOVE WISDOM?
If the wisdom tooth has sufficient protrusion in the jawbone, will not cause tooth decay, does not maintain pathological inflammatory processes, and has a chewing function (there is an adjacent pair of teeth in the opposite jawbone), then we do not recommend wisdom tooth removal.
BENEFITS OF REMOVING WISDOM TOOTH
The following processes are prevented:
congestion
wisdom will be surrounded by soft tissue inflammation
the second grinder is not in danger (wisdom tooth before tooth)
removal is done in one session
in the case of partially erupted wisdom teeth, surgical exploration is often not required
DISADVANTAGES OF REMOVING WISDOM
if only partial fracture and larger bone covers the unbroken tooth parts surgical excavation is required
edema is expected at the site of surgery for a few days after surgery
in case of surgical excavation you have to come back after 7-10 days for suture collection
CONTRAINDICATIONS AND CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR THE REMOVAL OF WISDOM
if it did not break out in old age and does not cause a complaint
if wisdom will break out, participate in the bite, it does not sustain inflammatory processes
PROCEDURE FOR REMOVING WISDOM, PROTOCOL
1. Meeting
Preliminary examinations and planning, specialist consultation. If the wisdom tooth position is special then we give a CT referral.
2. Meeting
During anesthesia, the wisdom tooth is removed, which usually takes 1-15 minutes.
3. Meeting
In case of surgical removal, return to suture collection. If the wisdom has been removed in a non-surgical but traditional way then you will no longer have to come back to the 3rd appointment as we will not put in sutures at this time.
WHAT WILL BE WISE AFTER REMOVING?
on the pulling side the face should be iced, 20 minutes of icing - 20 minutes of rest
we give painkillers
we add antibiotics if needed
alcohol and smoking should be avoided
the scar should not be sucked at the site of the pull
if bleeding occurs at the site of the pull, it should be bitten on a wet paper handkerchief and left there for 20 minutes, if the bleeding does not stop after this, please call our office
